The TFA HI Reinvention Team works to explore and activate education reinvention through work that creates conditions for:
We closely hold the values of grounding in place, partnership, and community. We are particularly mindful of the importance of community engagement and ownership. We intentionally don’t define the size and scope of these changes because we believe in both ripples of change that can come from intentional “small” steps and the possibility of sweeping changes when they are grounded in community.

SOcial Impact Incubator Program (SIIP)
What is SIIP?
SIIP is a 5-month long program in partnership with Hub Coworking Hawaiʻi for founders of socially impactful organizations. We want to help you achieve “growth,” whether that means becoming financially sustainable, increasing impact, or navigating the social-emotional aspect of being an entrepreneur. By the end of the program, you should have a clear vision of where you want to take your organization and the tools to achieve it.
What do I get from doing SIIP?
If you join SIIP, you will receive a package of supports for you and your organization valued at over $20,000 including:

Participants are expected to attend all sessions, meet with their mentor on a bi-weekly basis, and complete all program assignments between sessions.

Are you a school-level or complex area educator wanting the time and community to strengthen the impact of an innovative project or program you’ve tested out? Check out Innov808! Offered through a partnership with Teach For America Hawai'i and Hawaii State Teacher Fellows, participants will:
The technical modules are optional, based on your project needs. Topics include grant writing, fundraising, procurement 101, budget systems, policy, power mapping, communications, team building, and pitch training. Additionally, events will help connect you with potential team members and opportunities for project storytelling with funders and partners.
Commitments: Attend the kick-off and closing sessions, create a growth and impact plan, meet with your mentor, and update the project team on progress.
Systems Change Workshops
Are you an educator who has participated in a design thinking sprint or similar experience? These workshops are an opportunity to dive into systems thinking and systems change mindsets and tools that can help you take your prototype idea from prototype to pilot. Participants will engage in 2, ½ day sessions.
The workshops will be offered throughout April and May.
Video & Headshot Support
This service is available for educators who have already launched their innovation - in or outside of the classroom. Up to 4 applicants will be selected to receive a professional overview video of their project and a professional headshot.
Innovation Active Coaching Support
If you’re craving thought-partnership and intentional space and questions to support you to expand, scale and/or advance having an impact through coaching sessions, this is an opportunity to come with a topic and engage in deep reflection.
Platform Sharing & Publicity
We have ongoing opportunities to elevate your innovative projects - if this is what you believe is needed to expand, scale, or advance your work, please indicate so. Platforms include podcasts, written highlights, and public events.

Pop-up sessions
Eager to kindle the spark of innovation and creativity in reimagining education in your classroom or beyond?
These monthly pop-up sessions are designed for anyone who wants tangible learning opportunities in innovation, design, and creativity to use in their own practice. From developing your creative confidence to brainstorming solutions to exploring design methods used by some of the top innovators across education, art, and technology explore these practices in the pop-up sessions.
